Welcome to Woolly Llama
Wool With Attitude
High in Ecuador’s Andes Mountains amongst the sleepy snow-capped peaks of volcanoes that occasionally rumble to life, we find old cobble stone streets lined with colonial Spanish buildings paused in time. Beautiful churches, town squares and market places take you back 400 years.
It’s here we find a people whose culture stretches back much, much further – far back to the time of the Incas and beyond.
Sharing the common language of the Incas, Quichua, they are the Otavaleños, Cañaris, Saraguros, and many more – each group taking full pride in their culture and distinct way of dress. They are farmers, merchants, musicians and artisans who bring their goods and produce to the market place to trade. The indigenous artisans are industrious, making beautiful ponchos, blankets, baskets, hats and rugs.
It is our pleasure to bring you an ethically sourced range of these colourful, quality goods.
At Woolly Llama we have a combined 17 years of experience in the selection and sale of these products, fuelled by a love and compassion for the wonderful colours, textures and the people that make them.
We develop our fair trade range with the aim to delight your customers, and to offer you quality and value to increase your sales.
Shipped directly to you from our home in the Andes.
